Kate's Background
Kate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2010 and having tried many different approaches has found that using food as medicine is the best way to manage, improve and keep her symptoms under control.
Many of Kate's issues were to do with her gut and through microbiome testing she identified which bacteria were causing the bloating and which she needed more of to bring back a healthy balance.
Gut health is something Kate works on everyday by eating nutrient rich foods along with prebiotics and probiotics. Kate now follows a high-protein Keto diet, including colourful vegetables which have brought back Kate's love of food. Helped by her increase in energy, Kate now enjoys a variety of foods again and loves creating new recipes.
Kate also focuses on a healthy lifestyle and using the latest research which shows that going back to basics is often the best way. So she works on reducing stress by spending time outdoors in nature, along with doing daily exercise and breathing techniques.
